You have successfully completed the ‘Why?’ of Agile through your participation in the Agile Fundamentals Workshop. Now its time to move through the ‘How?’ of Agile by attending the Scrum Workshop.
What Will You Learn
Scrum is by some distance the most popular implementation of agile ways of working (build working software and deliver it at regular intervals for review and feedback). One of the reasons its so popular is because it is a relatively simple process to follow and it is very lightweight. - Prioritize the backlog.
- Break the stories down into bitesize pieces.
- Write acceptance criteria for a story.
- Feeding the ‘scrum machine’ with stories.
- Finish the product in a reasonable amount of time.
- Balance between reactive and proactive work.
- Turn a prototype into a usable product.
- Continue maintaining the old product while developing the new one.
- Measure the velocity of your team and the combined velocity.
